Client: Monster - Driving Leadership in Europe
Campaign: The Monster Employment Index

Online recruitment company Monster has worked with Weber Shandwick since 2000, to position the company as a thought leader on recruitment, retention and employment. In 2004 the US team created the monthly Monster Employment Index and the following year the European team created the Monster Employment Index Europe as the first real-time survey of labour trends across five European markets.

An independent research company analyses 1,400 recruitment websites every month to track job activity, and the Weber Shandwick team collates the data into reports highlighting trends in different markets and sectors. Economics and employment correspondents in the national media, newswires, and business and HR press are briefed, and interviews are offered with Monster spokespeople. Industry influencers including economists, HR professional bodies, analysts and government contacts are also briefed every month.

Since the Monster Employment Index was launched, coverage has risen sharply every month. In February 2006, for example, the Monster Employment Index led to 110 pieces of coverage in target media, including Bloomberg TV, BBC, Sky News, the FT, and Independent Radio News in the UK, and leading HR trade magazines. Monster now has a greater share of voice and quality of coverage across all media than any other recruitment company.

Weber Shandwick helps us to maintain our presence and leading position in the online recruitment industry. I would recommend Weber Shandwick to anybody looking for a PR agency.
